Lifeball is a game similar to netball and is designed for older people.
Lifeball was invented and developed by Colleen Wilson-Lord OAM of Jindera, NSW, as a team ball game that would attract ex-sportspeople when they were done with sports that require running, jumping and body contact. Lifeball is a walking game that is safe for older players, (but good for all ages), where the rules are designed to have players involved in all aspects of the game - attack, defence, goal shooting, goal defending, and so on, without the need to run. Lifeball is played around the local region as well as in centres from Hervey Bay in Queensland, and all the way round to Western Australia. Deni Dodgers have been playing Lifeball for nine years.
The game was previously known as Shot Ball / Walk Ball. Lifeball is open to all Seniors who wish for gentle exercise and to play our game. We have a lot of fun - the game improves our health and motivates our thinking. It includes walking, passing and throwing the ball to your team mate, goal throwing into a specially designed goal and is played by men and women.
Due To COVID Restrictions the club is currently meeting on Mondays 10.00 for a social gathering In the RSL Dunlop Room.
